Project POS Camaro has moved one step forward with the purchase of tires manufactured in the 21st century!
The ones that were on it had manufacturing date codes of 1998. That wasn’t good. Surprisingly the new ones actually drive better. Go figure! For those who weighed in on my questions about sizing I wimped out and went 235/60-15 all around. I knew that would fit both the car and the wheels (15x8) and they were the easiest size to find in stock.

This thing rocks! The tires look great, the centerline wheels are perfect!

Thanks! Originally I was going to replace the wheels but they’re growing on me. They give the car an 80s look. Cleaning them up was not an easy job, though. I don’t think they had seen a scrub brush since the tires were installed.

They have a good look, and if you ever want to change them you can always swap the tires over.

Love it. I debated going staggered, with 215s in the front and 235s rear. I ended up going square on the Cougar, 225s all around on 15x7.

A previous owner had put 215/65s on the front and 255/60s on the back all on the 15x8 wheels. It was madness! Ok, maybe not but it was a little strange.

Previous owner of mine had 195/60/14 on the front, and 235/65/15 truck tires on the rear. It looked quite silly!

On the plus side now you can rotate them for a little bit longer life.

I’m wary of your username, liberals only drive Prii (Priuses?), or so I’ve read on Oppo.
